What it says on the title. I've always wanted to make a Rec List of a certain ship, if not all my ships, but seeing as that ship has sailed (da dum chee!), it's easier for me to focus on a newer ship than conglomerate all of mine together. Anyways, let us begin:

Summary: Prompt from the Star Trek XI Kink Meme on lj. Prompt: K/S. So, this idea kind of hit me out of nowhere. Pretty much following the tradition of aliens-made-them-do-it [only kind of inverted], in which Kirk and Spock end up at a planet where they are not allowed to touch each other [due to religious issues, politeness protocol, whatever]. Anticipation was not an emotion Spock had intended to allow himself to feel; yet, it made itself known despite him, and that it was never satisfied made it harder to suppress, each time the Captain walked past or stood near and conscientiously avoided even the brush of their sleeves.

Thoughts: it's a nice, cute fluffy story. veers off into ooc-ness in some parts, but it's worth a read :3

A Beautiful(ly Illogical) Mind by waldorph

Thoughts: gorgeous, gorgeous AU. the story is really intriguing and it makes you squeal like the fangirl/fanboy you are ;)

Thoughts: ahhh, i don't know how to describe how i felt about this fic. i suppose kirk was a bit more abrasive. the build is slow. there's themes of love/hate (mostly on jim's part, tbh) great ending though, because i'm a cheesy mother******. worth reading!

Thoughts: this fic was the end of me. i was so done with everything after it. just incredibly superb and funny and a very feel-good sort of vibe, along with copious amounts of smexiness. (bit quick on the latter part, very rushed into the *you know*)

Thoughts: it really made me think on a lot of thinks, especially on my own writing style. it has a fantastic plot. got me lost with the references at some points, as i am only starting to catch up on TOS, but overall it's magnificent and there's over 90,000 words of it. simply beautiful fic.

Thoughts: ughh, just read it. it's so hot and so good. i was salivating through the whole thing.

Thoughts: my god, it's wonderful. prostitute!jim. pretty much a slow build and ugh, so effin' good.

That One Time When Jim and Spock Met Their Daughter From the Future by pristineungift

Thoughts: since i'm a total sucker for kid!fics, it was inevitable that i read one, and this is an awesome read. we also get to see the tension between spock and kirk, which is super duper awesome!

Summary: The obligatory Pon Farr story . . . with a bit of a twist. Bodyswap.

Thoughts: this was the fic that made me truly fall in love with this pairing. ugh, so fucking awesome. it's funny, serious, moderately-paced, but it keeps you interested the whole time. this was me after i read it: "ughhhhj just so fucking goood this fic is like a nice piece of wonderfull goodness with mushy perfect goodness and pining and trying to save each other and sexy and ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh fucking fcuk-"
